Medical Conditions - Cough, cold &fluDescription: Cetrizet 10 MG Tablet is a potent medication that contains cetrizine hydrochloride 10mg as its active ingredient. It is highly effective in treating allergic symptoms associated with rhinitis and urticaria. This medicine can effectively alleviate symptoms such as runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, skin itching, and hives caused by allergies. How to Use: For children aged 6 to 12 years, the recommended dose is 5 mg taken twice daily (half a tablet twice a day). Adults and children aged 12 years and above should take 10 mg once daily (one tablet once a day). Patients with moderate renal impairment are advised to take 5 mg once daily (half a tablet once a day). Cetrizet can be taken with or without meals, but it is recommended to take it at the same time each day. Precautions: Cetrizet 10mg should not be administered to children below 6 years of age. Avoid taking Cetrizet 10 mg if you are known to be allergic to Cetrizine or any drugs in the piperazine family, such as cyclizine or Levocetrizine. Consumption of alcohol while using Cetrizet 10mg may result in excessive drowsiness and should be avoided. The use of Cetrizet in patients with severe kidney impairment is not recommended. Pregnant women should avoid using Cetrizet 10mg Tablets. Additionally, the side effects of the drug may be observed in breastfed infants, so it is advised to consult a doctor before taking Cetrizet 10 mg Tablets during breastfeeding. Common side effects of Cetrizet include fatigue, sleepiness, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and nausea. There may be increased toxicity when Cetrizet is used with CNS depressants and anticholinergics, so caution should be exercised when combining these medications.
